पाेखरा । नेपाली कांग्रेसका आमन्त्रित केन्द्रीय सदस्य एवं प्रतिनिधिसभा सदस्य सूर्यबहादुर केसीको निधन भएको छ ।
केही समयदेखि मधुमेह तथा उच्च रक्तचापको समस्या रहेका केसीको ६३ वर्षको उमेरमा सोमबार राति निजी निवासमा निधन भएको नेपाली कांग्रेस कास्कीका सचिव सुदीपमोहन भट्टराईले जानकारी दिए ।
तीन वर्षअघि प्रतिनिसभा निर्वाचनका समयमा उहाँ नेपाली कांग्रेसमा प्रवेश गरेका थिए । केसीले तत्कालीन पोखरा नगरपञ्चायतको प्रधानपञ्चको जिम्मेवारी पनि निभाएका थिए ।
उनी राष्ट्रिय प्रजातन्त्र पार्टीमा रहँदा केन्द्रीय कोषाध्यक्षको जिम्मेवारीका साथै पहिलो संविधानसभामा संविधानसभा सदस्य बनेका थिए ।
केसी रारा चाउचाउ, जलविद्युत लगायत विभिन्न व्यापार व्यवसायमा सफल थिए। सामाजिक क्षेत्रमा उनको महत्वपूर्ण योगदान छ ।
